About Us

My name is Dana.

I live here in Santa Barbara with my lovely daughter. I have experience working as a preschool teacher and mother.

My education consists of 25+units in Early Childhood Education at Santa Barbara City College (AA). My Bachelor’s degree is from UCSB in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Art History. My most inspired classes throughout my education were my child development classes. I have always found young children to be inspiring and felt there’s a lot we can learn from one another. Each day I realize the importance of investing time and energy into a child’s life within my own experience with my daughter. One of the most important core concepts a child can learn is respect. We will engage in activities that will focus on the “whole person” as well learn to build trust. The child’s level of trust is gained when he or she is the initiator and explorer. The quality of each stage of development is also important to foster. Every child has their own unique way of communicating and will arrive at their own developmental pace. We will encourage each child along the way.

I am also a certified yoga instructor so you can bet we will find some time to do some stretching!
